Our research lines
Here is a glimpse of what we are excited about:

Designing functional macromolecules
Molecular responsiveness affects the structure and functions of systems across length scales. We combine organic, polymer, and surface chemistry to understand how nanoscopic changes amplify to macroscopic performance by design

Soft matter with “intelligence”
Memory is a first step towards intelligence. We fabricate materials that interact with he environment based on their nanoscale organization and dynamics, towards systems with sensing, decision-making, and actuation capabilities that can potentially even “remember” these interactions.

(Bio)sensing
From air quality control to disease detection, sensors are crucial in our daily lives. We engineer physico-chemical properties of (bio)recognition interfaces to create detection platforms for real-time monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and macromolecules (e.g., DNA, RNA) detection.
